Originally from Taytay, Rizal in the Philippines, I moved to Europe in 2022 to start my Master's in Economics through the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degree called Economics for the Global Transition (EPOG+) which focuses on alternative or heterodox approaches in economics as a fully-funded scholar. Now, I am an incoming PhD Fellow within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions DIGITAL Doctoral Network, exploring the intersection of AI, finance, and sustainability at the University of Naples Federico II. My research focuses on developing audience-dependent explainability of AI (XAI) models for the sustainable finance industry.
In this website, I also share the essays that did and did not work for me during my application processes for various scholarships for school year 2022-2024. You can find them here.
Prior to my graduate studies, I already worked for 4 years in various sectors from fintech, public sector to academic economic research. In 2020, I started an economics literacy organization called Ekonsepto and it also served as the start of my intellectual journey in critical economics perspectives after getting trained by Rethinking Economics and being selected for the 2020 Global Pluralist Training Program. After that, Ekonsepto was registered as the first RE network organization in the country.
